I am excited to join St. James’ Nursery School this year! This is my third-year teaching as a Lead 4’s preschool teacher. I am originally from upstate New York (although we have moved up and down the east coast quite a bit) and hold a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to coming to St. James’, I have worked in management positions over the years for various companies as well as owning my own yard stores for several years. I was a stay-at-home mom to my two grown sons while they were growing up and have always enjoyed being part of a school environment through volunteering and substitute teaching. Watching the children learn and grow throughout the year is wonderfully rewarding. I am a very hands-on teacher, and you will often find me in the middle of a group of four- and five-year-olds playing alongside them. Throughout the year they will learn how to play and learn in a large group setting as they prepare for kindergarten. I am honored to be part of helping them along their way during this important time of academic, social, and emotional growth. Outside of work I enjoy reading, knitting, walking/hiking with my Labrador Retriever, Sadie, and am especially blessed this year as my husband and I are eagerly awaiting the birth of our first grandchild in April!
